Trump to Meet Zelenskyy, and Europe's Leaders
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy will meet President Trump and European leaders in Washington to discuss Ukraine’s peace deal after Trump’s meeting with Putin.
Putin agreed to NATO-like security guarantees for Ukraine, but key details remain unresolved. Trump urges Ukraine to concede territory; Zelenskyy rejects ceding Donbas and doubts regaining Crimea. European leaders demand Kyiv’s full participation and a ceasefire before talks.
The war has caused over 1 million casualties since 2022. The U.S. plans enforceable security guarantees and may deploy reassurance forces post-conflict. Trump dropped the ceasefire precondition.
Leaders aim to avoid the diplomatic fiasco from February and maintain Western unity while shaping Ukraine’s future borders and security.

Apple’s rumored Face-ID door lock and smart display hub are more than just new products. It’s a clear signal: they’re going all-in on smart home automation. The tech giant is doubling down on the smart home, the $158B industry that’s growing 23% annually. And with Apple’s entry, investors are looking for the next breakout company - and potential acquisition target.
They’re chasing Google (acquired Nest, $3.2B) and Amazon (acquired Ring, $1.2B). History shows: when Apple plays catch-up, they go big. And there’s one startup perfectly positioned to benefit.
With 10+ patents, distribution in over 100 Best Buy stores, and revenue growth that doubled year-over-year, they’re built for a huge breakout. Early investors in Ring and Nest saw life-changing returns.

Boosts in ICE Recruitment
The Trump administration allocated $75 billion to ICE over four years, including $30 billion for hiring. ICE offers $50,000 signing bonuses and up to $60,000 in student loan forgiveness, with starting salaries nearing $90,000.
Over 110,000 applied to join, enabled by the removal of the age hiring cap. ICE salaries surpass those of police in major cities. Deportations reached 144,000 in early 2025, exceeding 2024 figures.
Recruitment uses patriotic messaging and social media campaigns to attract candidates.
This effort is part of a broader $150 billion immigration control budget under the “One Big and Beautiful Act.”

Big investors are buying this “unlisted” stock
When the founder who sold his last company to Zillow for $120M starts a new venture, people notice. That’s why the same VCs who backed Uber, Venmo, and eBay also invested in Pacaso.
Disrupting the real estate industry once again, Pacaso’s streamlined platform offers co-ownership of premier properties, revamping the $1.3T vacation home market.
And it works. By handing keys to 2,000+ happy homeowners, Pacaso has already made $110M+ in gross profits in their operating history.
Now, after 41% YoY gross profit growth last year alone, they recently reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

Erik Prince’s Mercenaries Return
Erik Prince (former Blackwater CEO) launched Vectus Global, offering $10 million+ annual security contracts in Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean.
His mercenaries operate in Haiti under a $1 billion security framework, using explosive drones to kill over 230 gang members and 3 civilians in 2025. In Congo, Prince secured a $30 million deal protecting tax collectors at cobalt mines. Vectus employs dozens, far fewer than Blackwater’s peak.
Prince maintains close ties to Trump allies and promotes mercenary services to replace declining U.S. aid. Critics warn of human rights abuses and regional instability.
His forces helped repel a gang attack on Haiti’s presidential palace, reflecting a shift toward privatized security aligned with America First policies.

Fed Ends Crypto-Focused Bank Supervision Program
The Federal Reserve will end its "novel activities" supervision program, launched in 2023 to monitor banks’ crypto and fintech involvement.
The Fed will integrate crypto and fintech oversight into its standard bank supervision, reflecting improved understanding of related risks and management practices. The program lasted about two years.
By folding these activities into regular supervision, the Fed aims to streamline regulation while maintaining strong oversight of emerging financial technologies.

Why Self-Forgiveness Is So Hard
A study found that those unable to forgive themselves remain trapped by guilt and shame, replaying past events with intense self-blame.
Self-forgivers still recall mistakes but experience less frequent and milder negative emotions, focusing on the future and accepting their past limitations.
People who feel responsible for loved ones’ suffering or who were victims themselves struggle most with self-forgiveness, as guilt can stem from outcomes beyond personal control, causing “moral injury” that disrupts agency and belonging.
Self-forgiveness requires time, reflection, and support. Mental health professionals should address the roots of guilt and facilitate moral repair. The findings also offer insights into offender rehabilitation.

Alzheimer’s Link to Cholesterol Transport
Researchers found that neurons in Alzheimer’s patients, especially those with the APOE4 variant, absorb cholesterol less effectively despite normal cholesterol release by astrocytes.
Lab tests confirmed APOE4 impairs cholesterol delivery to neurons compared to APOE3. Analysis of cerebrospinal fluid revealed 27 altered proteins unrelated to cholesterol metabolism, suggesting additional factors like inflammation may influence disease progression.
Since cholesterol is critical for neuron function and the brain produces it locally, impaired delivery could contribute to neuron damage in Alzheimer’s. The study does not establish causation but highlights cholesterol transport defects as a potential therapeutic target, particularly for APOE4 carriers.
