Tragedy at Minneapolis Catholic School

On August 27, Robin Westman, 23, opened fire at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis during Mass, killing two children (ages 8 and 10) and injuring 17 others, including 14 children and three elderly adults.

Westman, armed with legally purchased weapons, died by suicide at the scene. He was a former student, and authorities are investigating the attack as domestic terrorism and a hate crime against Catholics.

Online posts left by Westman showed violent language, political grievances, and antisemitic content. The shooting was the 146th U.S. school shooting in 2025 and the fourth deadly Minneapolis shooting in 24 hours. Officials continue to investigate his motives and possible hate group ties.

How should the government address the online presence of violent or hateful content as it relates to preventing attacks?

Imagine an opportunity so significant, it could redefine wealth generation in the mining sector. We're talking about a Lithium Salar twice the size of the biggest known deposit in the world poised to deliver unprecedented returns.

This isn't just another mining venture; it's a potential stock multiplier unlike anything currently available, with returns expected in as little as six months.

Our newly identified Lithium Salar represents an extraordinary supply answer to this escalating demand. Its sheer scale offers a strategic advantage, minimizing extraction complexities and maximizing output potential.

Nvidia’s AI Chip Sales

Nvidia reported $46.7 billion in Q3 sales, with data center revenue up 56% to $41.1 billion, slightly below forecasts. Next quarter revenue is expected around $54 billion, missing some analyst predictions due to ongoing U.S.-China trade restrictions limiting H20 chip sales to China.

The U.S. lifted the ban with a 15% revenue share deal, but Chinese regulatory uncertainty persists. Half of data center revenue comes from cloud providers like Meta and Microsoft. Nvidia anticipates $20 billion from “sovereign AI” this year and projects massive AI infrastructure spending through 2030.

Despite strong growth, revenue growth rates are slowing. Shares dropped 3% post-earnings; Nvidia authorized $60 billion in buybacks.

Nvidia’s shares dropped after its earnings announcement despite strong sales. Do you feel this market reaction is:

Mexico to Raise Tariffs on Chinese Imports Amid US Pressure

Mexico will raise tariffs on Chinese imports, including cars, textiles, and plastics, starting in 2026 to protect domestic manufacturers from low-cost, subsidized goods.

Other Asian countries might face similar tariff increases. This move aligns with President Trump’s push for Mexico to reduce trade imbalances and support U.S. economic interests.

Concurrently, the European Union aims to eliminate all tariffs on U.S. industrial goods by the end of the week to address U.S. tariffs on European car exports. These changes reflect growing U.S. influence on trade policies, signaling potential shifts in global trade flows beginning in 2026.

How effective do you believe tariffs are as a tool to address trade imbalances between countries?

We’re sitting on 71,000 acres in the heart of a modern gold rush—the Guiana Shield, home to 80 million ounces of gold.

For years, local miners have been pulling gold from the ground along a 4.5km trend on our property. We followed the trail, and it led us to this bonanza-grade discovery.

Now, we’re fully funded for a 10,000-metre drill program to prove what we believe is a multi-million-ounce deposit.

The drills are about to start turning. This is your ground-floor opportunity before the official results are in..

China-Linked Hackers Breach Telecom Giants and Beyond

A coalition including the U.S., Germany, and Japan accused three Chinese firms—Sichuan Juxinhe, Beijing Huanyu Tianqiong, and Sichuan Zhixin Ruijie—of supplying hacking tools to China's Ministry of State Security and the PLA.

Since 2021, the Salt Typhoon campaign targeted over 200 companies in 80 countries, breaching telecom giants like AT&T and Verizon, exposing data of over one million people in Washington, D.C.

The hackers exploited router vulnerabilities for persistent access, infiltrating government, transportation, lodging, and military networks. The U.S. sanctioned Sichuan Juxinhe earlier; the other two were recently named.

The campaign enabled cyber espionage on sensitive targets, including U.S. presidential campaigns. Experts urge patching vulnerabilities to prevent further breaches.

How serious do you believe the threat of state-sponsored hacking campaigns like Salt Typhoon is to global security?

Hidden Fat Speeds Up Heart Aging

Visceral fat surrounding organs accelerates cardiovascular aging, linked to increased inflammation. Analysis of 21,241 participants showed visceral fat volume and liver fat fraction strongly predict faster heart aging.

Men with abdominal fat experience quicker heart aging, while women with fat around hips and thighs show slower aging, especially premenopausal women with higher estrogen.

BMI poorly predicts heart health as it ignores fat distribution; nearly 31% of overweight women had normal total fat mass. Researchers aim to test therapies like GLP-1 inhibitors to reduce visceral fat and heart aging.

Lifestyle changes remain crucial. The study highlights fat location, not just amount, as key to heart aging and healthy lifespan.

Given the finding that BMI can misrepresent heart health, how much trust do you place in BMI as a health measure?

Pig Lung Transplant into Human

A genetically modified pig lung with six CRISPR edits was transplanted into a brain-dead 39-year-old man. The lung functioned nine days without immediate hyperacute rejection, but developed severe edema within 24 hours and antibody-mediated rejection by days three to six, causing primary graft dysfunction.

The patient received multiple immunosuppressants adjusted for immune responses. This first pig lung xenotransplant shows lung transplants face unique challenges due to immune rejection and lung preservation, more so than other organs.

Researchers call for improved gene editing and immunosuppression to advance clinical use and address organ shortages. Some lung recovery occurred by day nine before the trial ended.

Given the early success but significant challenges, do you believe xenotransplantation (e.g., pig-to-human organ transplants) will become a standard medical practice within the next 20 years?
