  • 12% Yes, it will significantly help
  • 8% Unsure

jlpe...Small, tariff exempt packages are not how fentanyl arrives here. Once again, it’s moron Trump setting tariff for no logical reason and making up a false reason.
deef...This was never about reducing fentanyl imports and we all know it.
ceal...It also helps US small businesses.
fire...This just means the cost of illegal drugs and other “illegal imports” are just going to rise. People aren’t going to stop “buying” just because of the price…. Especially not addicts.
step...It's a typical Frump deflection.
cger...EVERY little bit helps.
dlmo...Just one more this administration will harm middle class and working class people
tjaw...Fentanyl will simply be smuggled into the U.S., and the shippers will pay no tariff at all.
mdul...Trump also claims that the actions taken against Canada were all about fentanyl but clearly that is also false. This Trump move is aligned more with his attack on small family owned farms. His policies continue to benefit the large corporations at the expense of small businesses. Remember, although a distant second to caring almost solely about himself, his benefactors are the only people he cares about even in small measure. They all represent large businesses needing to push out small business to monopolize their various industries. Just one more example here of Trump distracting from his actual objectives.
shab...All of this has nothing to do with fentanyl so what’s the point of the question
robe...Just another money grab from people and business that can least afford it...if that's the justification outside the real reason above why not boost inspections..
scoo...What a bullshit, drug dealer will pay tariffs.
mpme...Fentanyl is not shipped in using major carriers or the mail services. These companies already have procedures in place to stop that plus most fentanyl comes in through Mexico not the EU.
bett...The bigger point is that it’s made dozens of countries cancel all shipments to the U.S. why isn’t that your headline?
lind...It won't make any difference with illegal imports. It will make consumer goods more expensive.
skid...It’s not like fentanyl is being imported through legal channels, it is simply a tax on the goods being used to hide the fentanyl
wint...There are many more ways to find and stop drugs. They will find a work-around. Meanwhile, removing the $800 threshold is hurting small businesses. Ultimately I believe that is the goal.
scot...Unsure but it might save people in the U.S. from buying useless junk that they don't need. Which might help the landfills.
ende...Is that really how the drug comes in?
atli...Nor does it matter. Drug use in the US is the problem of US policy not foreign cartels taking advantage of it.
jlcg...It will most likely close, or severely curtail, one very easy and relatively cheap route, but I am afraid smugglers may quickly develop alternatives circuits.
brad...Good for ending cheap e-commerce from China, but won’t do a single thing for fentanyl.
rbir...Criminals dont pay tarrifs nor do they pay taxes! Cartels avoid normal ports of entry. Thus, the law will only apply to legal fentanyl.
donh...This will hurt all seniors importing lower cost meds!
hain...Definitely a dunb idea!
robs...This is where U.S. consumers are exploited by small Chinese companies who fail to reveal they are in China, and that the average U.S. eCommerce delivery time of same day to 2 days will actually be 30 days, and where returns cost more than the product. And also where rampant credit card fraud and disputes exist from fake companies and ads on social media. Without a U.S. retailer or wholesaler conducting the necessary due diligence on so many bad actors in China on behalf of the U.S. consumer, Tariffs are warranted for this reason alone. But wouldn't this also be the perfect pipeline for under the radar fentanyl sales into the U.S., and now tariffs will bring them to light more efficiently by dramatically reducing all other non-fentanyl de minimus trade flows.
rath...Typical Drumpf Derangement Syndrome. The idiots that support this disaster currently unfolding in Washington probably think it will but like everything else flowing from the sewage spigot that is this filthy, dripping grifter-infested sycophantic miasma, it's going to do absolutely nothing to actually WE THE ACTUAL PEOPLE of this once-respected and now deplored country.
mdda...The change will primarily increase costs for everyone and will have little effect on the availability of illicit drugs.
gail...It will due more harm to small businesses already feeling the effect of tariffs.
bren...Fentanyl is so concentrated that import controls are a nightmare. It's just too easy to find alternative ways to move the stuff across borders.
egan...Just another lie. Just another tax to make up for lost revenue from 15% tax break they gave corporations.
rjfe...Among the unnecessary casualties ox this ill-conceived blanket rule are gift exchanges among family. Sending small gift tokens will be prohibitively expensive and time consuming. So much for promoting family connections.

Do you believe the $825 million missile sale to Ukraine will significantly impact the conflict's outcome?

  • 48% Yes, it strengthens Ukraine’s defense considerably
  • 43% No, it won’t change the conflict substantially
  • 9% Unsure

cica...More, More, and More!!! And stop coddling Putin
ebr....If they would just eliminate Putin and his henchmen, the world would be better off.
cger...Enough with the Bullshit. Trump needs to use the banking system to cut off the flow of money to Russia. Hurt Putin where it makes a difference and we will see an end to the killing.
dlmo...We can’t leave Ukraine in the lurch subject to dictator Putin
mdul...I responded, "Unsure", since it seems likely that Trump is approving the move in light of Putin's blatant disregard for anything Trump has said. However, I think it is only a matter of time before Trump finds a way to strip Ukraine of the support it needs so that he can continue genuflecting to his mentor, Putin.
robe...So Trump had to get Putins ok for the sale first or they collectively delayed until Mr P got the amount of territory he wanted ... seems a little late in game ..
fcse...Ukraine needs missiles that will reach Moscow. Time to give Russia was Kviv has experienced.
robs...Yes! The EU & U.S. (in that order) control the outcome of this war, not Russia, not Iran, not North Korea and China isn't nearly as committed as the EU & US. Certainly no comparison to the evil & tragic loss of so many innocent lives caused by Putin, but if you've never visited those beautiful buildings in Moscow & St. Petersburg, it may be too late. The destruction of those two Russian cities could be next, thanks to none other than Vladimir Putin. It is the 21st Century!!!
lind...We must do all that we can to help the Ukraine defeat Russia and Putin!
nanc...It will send a message to Putin and give Ukraine a boost.
rmar...Long range missile to hit Moscow are needed in
sopa...It's only the inierest of Big Gun.
rich...I’m not a military expert but beyond the pure “fire power” aspect, no less important and perhaps more so, is the message to Putin that Trump may FINALLY be getting the message that the prospect of an endless military stalemate is the only thing that will motivate Putin to seek some kind of face-saving resolution to the conflict.
nell...If you’re a Russian soldier and the guy next to you has just been killed by a donated missile - it’s going to stop him. The same question regarding the provision of Weapons from USA made a huge difference as the War was supposed to be 72 Hours and it’s now 3 years of War - huge win by Ukraine
atli...Just assures more dead humans and more profit for the US military-industrial complex. War is good business at the expense of the tax payer.
tubi...who pays for it?
emyo...US just making $ off of Ukraine going bankrupt fighting Russia. Sounds almost like Putin’s idea…
mega...The Department of Defense has been blocking Ukraine from using long-range missiles to strike deep into Russian territory. So this seems like it was just a way for the US to squeeze more money out of an already struggling war-torn country.

How confident are you in the sustainability of the U.S. economic growth reported for Q2 2025?

  • 69% Expect it to slow down significantly
  • 24% Confident it will continue or improve
  • 7% Unsure

EmailComments
kgeo...I think your readers are predominantly left-wing. And you also pull your information from only left leaning sources. Why?
kvas...Traitor Don's ego and tariffs will eventually hurt everybody except the super rich. People know this, even if the Maggot Heads will twist reality to find a way to continue to support him. Since they know the economic hit is going to come and probably soon, they are rushing out to buy things now instead of waiting for the higher prices later. So, sure, the economy has "improved," but is it sustainable? No.
wint...Just this week saw increases in food prices of 10-20% on the “usual” things I buy. Noticing shelves not being stocked as full and item selection thinning to fewer options. I notice fast food lines are shorter. A friend of mine who works in the travel industry was layed off. There are travel deals galore, but prices are still moderately high by my standards, so they’re not desperate, yet.
robe...This was only a result of the pre or lower tariffs surge
nmik...Always a delay receiving this information
cger...Yee of little faith. I believe most of the readers here are Progressive Leftist communist.
mdul...I think this is interesting data that will make more challenging the Fed's decision to lower interest rates. Trump wants high growth to make it seem like his tariffs are working but high growth also means that economy doesn't need lower interest rates.
brad...The growth is artificial
cica...3.5 million jobs in clean energy are being greatly reduced due to Trumps attacks on clean energy and his cutting off of funding and tax incentives
sopa...It's a fly of a chicken.
atli...Regardless of economic growth, consumers will pay more and the US will continue to be viewed as an unstable partner.
bren...Never underestimate the US economy
alex...I wonder if the spending increase is due to the cost of goods rising?
tubi...dumb donald the petty-file is running the economy into the ground.

Do you believe Gmail’s spam filters could unintentionally show political bias?

  • 55% No, technical filters are neutral by design
  • 36% Yes, bias can emerge unintentionally
  • 9% Unsure

EmailComments
alf....Gmail always sends my religious and faith subscriptions to spam. It’s so annoying
brad...Maybe republican emails should look less like spam…
csbr...Nobody wants emails from protectors and enablers of pedophilia, sounds like the filters are doing their job. MAGA disinformation emails are also spam.
jlcg...If the filters are designed to be unaware of the sender's identity (true or pretended) bias by definition, if indeed actually observed, can only result from a bias in the senders message contents, like over use of certain terms or expression, specific style, or from the excessive repetition of systematically discarded without opening messages
alex...I believe the tech is unbiased, but it does learn from people and people are biased. I don’t believe there is culpability to Google in regard to this.
cger...GMAIL, YAHOO, META, all were complicit in restricting free speech during the repressive Biden administration. These are Progressive Leftist leaning media that are Un American in the fact that they are biased.
kgeo...I think they are biased on purpose. Personal experience has shown that.
nmik...Liberal opinions. Filters rely on data input...google very much woke and liberal. Very biased so its no surprise. I'ved mostly moved to other sources
atli...Just another attempt by MAGA to show that it is the victim rather than the perpetrator of false information.
cica...Trump and the Rescumlicans want to be able to smother you with propaganda and lies
tomd...In today's woke culture, I can see that well-intended emails can easily get filtered out, either intentionally or unintentionally.
chiu...No denying it is intentional
kvas...Traitor Don's goons gain favor from their Beloved Leader by making ridiculous and stupid claims like this.

If you learned that reducing salt intake could potentially protect brain health as well as lower blood pressure, would you change your eating habits?

  • 69% Yes, I would significantly reduce salt consumption
  • 24% Maybe, I would try but it might be difficult
  • 7% No, I don’t think salt intake affects my brain or health enough

EmailComments
atli...Because I already eat as little salt as possible reducing even more would be difficult, but I have alreaday reduced it for the reasons shown
gail...It is difficult to as salt hides in many items, but most definitely am already an avid label reader and am currently trying to to reduce my sodium intake.
mdul...The allowable responses didn't include what I would have picked, if it were present. I already watch salt intake since it is entirely too easy to exceed daily recommendations if you don't.
lucy...Anything to improve our health

How confident are you in new non-opioid drugs like ADRIANA replacing opioids for pain management?

  • 75% Very confident
  • 25% Somewhat skeptical

EmailComments
step...Uh-huh, and I remember when the Sacklers promised the glories of oxycodone and other opioids. Hopefully, it's better and not as addictive while still reducing severe pains without the addictive, brain-changing effects.
atli...The research comes from outside the US so it is more reliable. Hopefully our scientists are packing to move to China, Japan, and the rest of the world that it is still interested in science.
nmik...This was tried and lied about oxy
dlmo...Hopeful rather than confident or skeptical
