US Strikes Set Back Iran’s Nuclear Program by Months

The Pentagon reported that U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites delayed Tehran’s program by under six months but did not destroy it. B-2 bombers dropped fourteen 30,000-pound bunker busters on Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Damage was severe but underground infrastructure and centrifuges largely survived. About 409 kilograms of enriched uranium remained, partly moved to secret locations before the strikes.

U.S. intelligence warns intact centrifuges and uranium could enable Iran to resume nuclear weapons development.

Satellite images showed Iran relocating material and sealing tunnels pre-attack. Iran plans a new enrichment facility at Isfahan. The IAEA confirmed damage but can’t verify underground effects.

Based on the report, do you believe the U.S. airstrikes achieved their intended strategic goal?

CareerBuilder + Monster Files for Bankruptcy

CareerBuilder and Monster merged in September 2024 but filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy less than a year later in June 2025. They plan to sell assets to multiple buyers: JobGet will acquire the job board, Valnet will buy Monster Media Properties, and Valsoft will take Monster Government Services.

The combined company has assets estimated between $50 million and $100 million, with liabilities of $100 million to $500 million. Revenue dropped 40% to $49.2 million in 2024 amid a tough macroeconomic environment.

The company is cutting costs and secured a $20 million loan. The merger failed to halt declining sales, facing fierce competition from LinkedIn and Indeed. The restructuring process is court-supervised.

What is the main reason for CareerBuilder + Monster’s bankruptcy?

This Company with a pre-money valuation of only C$3million is completing a C$3million seed equity raise for the restart of the fully permitted Gold Road mine in Arizona, USA. The current low company valuation offers near-term potential for a significant re-rating from the production start, a public quotation, and an additional one million ounces of gold exploration upside.

The cost to build Gold Road from scratch today would be close to US$100 million and management plans to grow production to 20,000 ounces of gold per year in 2025/26. In a strong gold price environment this could lead to a US$40+million EBITDA in 2026 and potential for a very healthy dividend yield paid in physical gold and silver.

Management has a proven track record and plans to go public in Q1 2026.

US Current Account Deficit Hits Record $450 Billion

The US current account deficit hit $450.2 billion in Q1 2025, up 44.3% from Q4 2024 and equal to 6.0% of GDP—the highest since 2006.

Goods imports surged to a record $1 trillion as businesses front-loaded shipments before tariffs increased, pushing the goods trade deficit from $328.9 billion to $466 billion.

Goods exports rose to $539 billion but service exports and imports both declined. The primary income balance swung to a $7.6 billion deficit due to weaker investment earnings.

After April’s 19.9% drop in imports, front-loading appears over. Economists caution that the large deficit and federal budget gaps may weaken the dollar over time.

The deficit now equals 6.0% of GDP, the highest since 2006. Is a high current account deficit:

UK Revives Nuclear Air Power

The UK will acquire 12 F-35A jets capable of carrying U.S.-made B61 tactical nuclear bombs, restoring airborne nuclear delivery since 1998. The jets will complement Trident submarine missiles, which recently failed tests twice.

Based at RAF Marham, the F-35As offer longer range and larger payloads than current F-35Bs. The UK will raise defense spending to 5% of GDP by 2035 to meet NATO targets.

The move strengthens NATO’s airborne nuclear mission alongside the U.S., Germany, and Italy.

Do you believe tactical nuclear weapons carried by fighter jets are a credible deterrent in today’s geopolitical climate?

First Jet-Powered Humanoid Robot

iRonCub3, a 70-kg humanoid robot with four jet engines, achieved stable takeoff and hovering at 50 cm. It uses two arm-mounted thrusters and a jetpack, producing over 1000 newtons of thrust and exhaust temperatures up to 800°C.

The robot features a titanium spine and heat-resistant materials to handle high heat and stress. Advanced AI with neural networks and a Model Predictive Controller manage aerodynamics and joint movements in real time.

Structural tests ensure it withstands axial loads triple the turbine thrust. Future trials will expand to a larger site. iRonCub3 aims to combine flight with humanoid tasks for applications like rescue, inspection, and maintenance in hazardous or inaccessible areas.

Would you personally feel more confident interacting with or relying on flying humanoid robots in hazardous environments?

Vitamin D Breakthroughs

Vitamin D deficiency affects up to 44% of some populations, with severe deficiency in up to 11%. Daily intake recommendations range from 400 to 800 IU depending on age and region. Absorption varies with vitamin D form, diet, health conditions, and age.

Vitamin D impacts cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis. A 2025 Brazilian trial found that supplementing 2,000 IU daily during chemotherapy nearly doubled complete breast cancer tumor disappearance (24% to 43%) in women with low baseline vitamin D.

New delivery methods like nanoencapsulation enhance absorption. Ongoing research aims to refine dosing, understand immunity links, and improve fortification strategies to maximize vitamin D’s role in chronic disease prevention and treatment.

How often do you currently take vitamin D supplements or consume vitamin D fortified foods?
